Producer, Director, Production Coordinator
After the film festival Through The Lens approved my cousin Azure A. Bleau's rough script submission, they contacted me to produce the short film. At the time, I was working intensely on my final college short film La Promesa, so I was unsure if it could be executed by the festival's deadline. My gut and a few close friends encouraged me to move forward on producing and directing Remembering April, so within two weeks I gathered a crew. We had three days of production and everything went so smoothly it was like a dream come true!
The script was 16 pages and the short had to be exactly 10 minuets for the film festival. My dear friend Joshua Martinez and I sat in the editing room skimming through each scene cutting out anything and everything that wasn't required to tell the story. In the end, we created something we could all be proud of.
